I first heard about hungry ghosts from a friend who practised Tibetan buddhism decades ago. This article rings so true. I've met many people who embody this phenomenon - never satisfied. Some part of them doesn't wish to be satisfied. I have Asperger's - it isn't obvious all the time- but routine is "sacred" and I used to lose myself in petty rituals. A good friend prayed for me and his answer was to encourage me to attend daily mass. Since taking up this practise all other rituals and routines are far less important, and the tranquility that has settled within me is nothing short of miraculous. "Seek and Ye shall find..." Matthew 7:7
